Some more AJ pages

I made a few more pages. I made these using Places in the Heart by OTBDS.

This is the first. It is my page for the AOS assignment of week 4.
In addition to the Places in the Heart kit, i used several elements of other OTBDS kits (Painted Ladies, Dollface, Hide & Seek, When i was a little girl & the AOS member mega kit.
Wordstrips from weekly rations & musicnotes from my stash.

The 2nd one also made with Places in the Heart:
Big WA & pattern brush from SuperScrap & floral paintsplashes, other brushes & small WA are from Viva Artistry.
 

And my 3rd with this kit:
Corner hearts, dove & flower from Hide & Seek collab & blue paper from AOS member mega kit.
Flying heart, eye & mouth are doodles i've drawn myself. I wanted to try to use something of myself in a page so i scanned & then extracted and reworked these in PS.

This last page i made with a freebie Add-on kit from Studio Priss and some additional elements from several other freebie kits from my stash.

AJ pages with new OTBDS kit School of Thoughts

OTBDS has a new kit in store called School of Thought, and i have been playing with it.
This kit is a collab between OTBDS & Sharon (formerly Demiurgia, now "Art for Scrapbooking").
It is a funky & fresh twist on Principles of Art/Art school and school of fish. Swimming wtih Creativity!
And it's packed with gorgeous colorfull elements & papers !!!

This is my page for the AOS assignment of week 16. Font used is Impress BT.

The second page i made just for fun. Telescope & frame from AOS member mega kit by OTBDS.

On this last page, i went totally mad (and had a lot of fun doing so !!!)

I mostly used the School of Thoughts kit, with exception of:
Gesso's, stained glass, codex border, head man & phone-hand from AOS mega kit (OTBDS).
Head woman from Dollface kit (OTBDS).
Alpha's, quote, cloud, body woman & wings man from my stash.

My latest AJ pages

Hello, here i am with some new pages i've done again (very productive the last few days, haven't i ?)
For the following pages i used the Painted Ladies kit by OTBDS.

My first page i made with this kit is just a pretty page (just playing around with it).

My 2nd page with this kit turned out kinda strange. I had this beautiful quote sitting on my pc, that i wanted to use. The pictures are actually pieces of me. I cut out pieces of my face from a large portret photo a couple of years ago to test the various filters in Photoshop. They were just sitting there, and i never expected to use them for anything, but there you have it :). I also used a picture of my hand. (And yep, appearently i'm a brick house in my eyes - LOL)

The 3rd page also has a quote i love.

My 4rd page is more of a mixed item. I used Painted Ladies by OTBDS - Wall background from AOS Member Megakit by OTBDS - leather strap & striped background from Holliewood Studios (Old School), Woman, green butterfly & quote from my freebies stash.

I also made another page with backgrounds from Holliewood Studios (Old School, Metal Momma), all elements are from my freebies stash.

New AJ pages

Yes, i got even more .....
I made some AJ pages with the Soulflight Collab kit by OTBDS. This kit is really fun to play with. and since it's a collab kit there's a really nice range of papers and elements to choose from !!!
I'll keep it short & simple this 2nd post, without further ado, here are my pages:

The last one was especially fun for me to make, as i don't usually make such dark pages. But this background was perfect for it.

New scrapbook pages and AJ page

I have been playing around with some old pictures of me and my parents. I had to scan these first, because i don't have a digital copy, but even though it's the first time i try to do this it worked pretty well. So maybe i can start scanning them all now (although that's gonna be a big job !)
I used OTBDS kit When i was a little girl for these LO's (how appropriate right ?!).

Here they are, the first 2 are old pictures of me:

Then i made one with 2 really old pictures of my parents at my fathers summerjob (selling icecream LOL):

Because i can't help myself i just had to make an AJ page (so much fun !!!). I used the same kit for this, plus the kit Painted ladies (also by OTBDS).

New Minikit Personal Best by OTBDS

I made these pages with the new mini-kit "Personal Best" by O.T.B.D.S.
This kit contains some fabulous Brush-In-Hand painted papers and cool artsy elements and could be used to make all sorts of pages. Setting Goals, aiming not for perfection, but your PERSONAL BEST is what this mini is all about.

I made one romantic, one slick modern and one grungy page, all with the same mini-kit.
It's just a small kit but with really great creative potential !!

My first page:

This is my page for the AOS assignment for week 15.

Journaling reads:
For as long as i can remember, art has always been a way to express myself.
It helps me to express my moods & my personality, and also to organize my thoughts, ideas and memories
in a visually attractive way for later reference and/or enjoyment. I basically have to do this, as i am a total
scatterbrain and also kind of chaotic when it comes to organizing my ideas & thoughts. Being creative helps me to get stuff out of my brain and make sense of all those random thoughts. It provides me with a way to get an insight in myself en my feelings and also in the process helps me to work through them, as being creative always calms me down, makes me more focussed and keeps me busy so my brain doesn’t go haywire on me.
And meanwhile i get a better insight in myself, my motivations and my strenghts and weaknesses.
Simply put: it helps me to grow spiritually and keeps me grounded. As a teenager i already used to “abuse”
my schoolplanner by scribbling and drawing in it and pasting pictures, clippings, quotes, etc.
By the end of the schoolyear the thing just wouldn’t close anymore, as it grew thicker and thicker.
Since then i’ve picked up many creative hobbies such as cardmaking, scrapbooking, parchment craft and jewellery making.
I also stuck with my favorites: drawing, painting (although not of late) and i still make little books out of old used books, dateplanners, etc. by pasting magazine clippings, articles, headlines & quotes in them and mainly drawing & scetching.
Often i write about what’s on my mind and also paste that in. The irony is that i figured i had to learn how to do art journaling, when looking back on my life i apparently was doing that all along. I just didn’t have a name for it. Just one of my strange habits !!!
My creations reflect who i am in the bright colors i like to use and the (mostly) rather busy layouts tend to reflect my often overloaded and overstimulated brain.

New faith journaling kit by OTBDS: Sing over me

I made these pages with the gorgeous new faith journal kit "Sing over me" by O.T.B.D.S.
It was inspired by one of the most amazing verses; Zephaniah 3:17 which states that:
"For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

This kit has beautiful handpainted pages and elements, as well as an abundance in wordart & wordstrips to form your own custom made journaling. It is available HERE.

Some more pages

I've been playing around with the American Story kit some more and made some fun pages. This is actually a scrapbook kit, but i made 4 art journal pages and only 1 scrapbook page.
Goes to show you, you can use anything for art journaling.
I used a mix of the papers of the American Story colab kit and elements from my stash for the first three and mainly Andrea Gold's part for the last 2 (with some paper/elements mixed in from the others).

New art journaling LO's

I made these LO's today for the Artcheology of the Soul (or AOS) assignment of May. The assignment was to do a LO about balance, i actually ended up doing two. One on balance for me personally and one i guess more about balance in general.

So the FIRST ONE is the personal one.
I used mostly the Mad like a hatter kit by O.T.B.D.S.
and used some elements of the Wishville kit (also by O.T.B.D.S.)

Journaling reads:
Balance or the total lack of it in my life.
Somehow i always seem to manage to overdo things.
I struggle to keep the balance on many issues.
This is a list of things i need to work on !

The 2nd one is the more general one.
I used O.T.B.D.S. kit Mad like a hatter for this one. (just borrowed 1 stamp from Now it falls freebie by OTBDS & 1 brush paint from So last year freebie also by OTBDS)
I used mostly various layer blendmodes for this to recolor items and added few dropshadows.

Hello,

Today i like to share with you some of my art journaling pages made with O.T.B.D.S. kit  Soul in Bloom.
There's 3 of them and for 2 of these pages i created the backgrounds myself with some backgroundpaper and pictures i blended on them with use of several filter / blending techniques in PS-C2.
I'm thinking maybe i will upload these 2 papers tomorrow for you as a freebie (just have to figure out how LOL). So just check my blog later on if you like these.
